National Tooling and Machining Association - Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts Chapter (RI/SM-TMA) conducts regular monthly meetings which offers contract shop owners a unique forum to discuss both management and technical questions which confront you on a day to day basis. APPRENTICESHIP EDUCATION & TRAINING

The NTMA offers the most aggressive training programs for apprenticeships in the country. The Toolmakers Art is offered as a recruiting film for the NTMA 12-week pre-apprenticeship program sponsored by the RI/ SM Chapter and held at the Community College of RI. In use is the NTMA Metalworking Training System and is rounded out by a National Apprenticeship Contest.
RI/SM members can also participate in MechTech, a 4-year apprenticeship program
